Our Daily Bread is a collaboration between two artists, friends and mothers during the Covid-19 pandemic. When the lockdown was called March 13th, 2020, Marnie Blair gave herself the challenge to bake bread everyday for 2 weeks as a way to focus her anxiety and have something to create while being locked out of her studio. Erin decided to support Marnie in her challenge, by doing a painting of her bread everyday, as an act of solidarity. The 14 paintings created in that time, were auctioned off with the proceeds being donated to the Mustard Seed, to help feed the communities most vulnerable people. Once the two weeks were up and the lockdown continued to be enforced for the unforeseen future, the duo kept baking and painting for the year that followed. This collection of paintings is the accumulation of many cups of flour, many hours in the kitchen and studio, as well as, their love and support for each other and their community.
